Mr. Olivero is a painter and photographer who received his BA degree in painting from the University of South Florida and his MFA degree in painting from the University of Illinois. Since his schooling, his art has been in many exhibitions which include 23 one-person shows, 78 group invitationals, and 64 national competitions and 38 regional competitions. He has received awards at 30 of these competitions. He has been awarded an NEA Regional Fellowship, a Florida Visual Arts Fellowship, the Broward County Duane Hanson Fellowship in Public Art, 2 University Research Grants and 11 public art commissions. He is also a member of the Florida artist group FLAGG. In addition, Mr. Olivero’s art is represented in numerous public and private collections. As a professor in higher education, he taught for 42 years. He has served as a visiting artist/speaker at 15 different universities and museums and has served on 7 art panels throughout the years.
